TAMEW Spring Schedule

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the spring schedule for the Transnational Approaches to Modern Europe Workshop. This quarter should prove to be an exciting and stimulating conversation, with topics ranging from panic on board French steamships, disputes within households from Kiev to French colonial Dakar, and debates about nation and empire in the aftermath of World Wars.

As with previous quarters, papers will be circulated the weekend before the scheduled talk. All scheduled events will go from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, with short receptions to follow. With the exception of the workshop on April 4, all workshops will be held in the John Hope Franklin Room (SS 224).

If you are interested in any of the following events, please contact Gregory Valdespino (gvaldespino@uchicago.edu) or Alexander Herbert (ath459@uchicago.edu)

We look forward to an exciting quarter and hope to see you there.
