We are excited to have Abigail Bratcher, PhD Student, Department of History, who will be presenting her dissertation prospectus, “Knowing the Kazakh Steppe: How Pedologists and Peasants Created Knowledge of Steppe Soils, 1891-1976.” Julia Mead, PhD Student, Department of History, will provide comment.
