Virtual Chicago Spotlight: Lori Lightfoot Tour of DuSable Museum

We know that many of our incoming and current The University of Chicago students and affiliates are unable to explore Chicago at the moment. That’s why every Friday this summer, we will showcase a Chicago cultural icon. This week, it’s the DuSable Museum of African American History, located in Washington Park, just northwest of the UChicago campus.

Take a tour of the DuSableMuseum with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot:
“The DuSable is the nation’s oldest, independent, black museum and was named after Jean Baptiste Point DuSable, a Haitian of African and French descent who opened the first trading post in what is now Chicago.”
