“I voluntarily joined the AEPP in September 2019 and enjoyed it a lot. I enrolled in the Writing track because I thought this is a great opportunity to learn North American academic writing, and it did really help me a lot.

“My instructor, Tim, was a very patient and thoughtful man. He explained topics like, controlling claims, sentence boundaries, and even networking etiquette. Not only writing skills but also some interesting things about Chicago were discussed during the class.

The AEPP (Academic English Pre-Matriculation Program) will happen this August and September. It will be online due to COVID-19. The AEPP is for incoming international The University of Chicago PhD and Masters students.
