Autumn 2020: Spoken Communication: General American Pronunciation

“My favorite part about teaching Spoken Communication: General American Pronunciation is the opportunity to expand students’ understanding of the particular rhythm and sounds of the English language. Apart from the words we speak, there are many non-verbal characteristics that give English its unique sound. In this course, students will define and explore these characteristics, heighten their awareness of their pronunciation strengths and weaknesses, and ultimately improve their speaking confidence and intelligibility.”
