“One of my favorite things is to find something that I had written but forgotten about. I love that mix of feelings between, ‘I wrote this’ and ‘I don’t remember writing this,’ followed usually by, ‘Wow, I was more clever than I thought…’ Unlike spoken words, writing is durable. I enjoy working with the Written Communication: Standards and Conventions in North America class because we work on tools to create a more complete written record of our thoughts. The more we write, the more we can surprise our future selves with our wonderful ideas.”
