AEPP Student Spotlight: Hong Q

Today, we’re highlighting a winning submission from the 2019 AEPP Finding Chicago: Global Perspectives project. The AEPP-Speaking students recorded podcasts on an issue in North American or Chicago culture that captured their attention. Today’s featured podcast is from Hong Q., a Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering (PME) PhD student. Congratulations, Hong!

In this podcast, Hong discusses the tax system in Chicago: “I realized that Chicago is one of the most taxed cities in the country, and I always wondered, how the tax is calculated, and why it is so high in Chicago…Everyone is equal in terms of taxes, but Chicagoans suffer the most.”
