James Rosenberger, Class of 2026
Origami Experience:
James Rosenberger is a first-year undergraduate student studying Economics on the Standard Track. Having started learning origami only a few months ago, James enjoys folding both as a relaxing hobby and as a means to express himself creatively. He wanted to be an artist and build these models to demonstrate that there is a certain beauty in the imperfections and simplicities of the models of a beginner, and he also wanted to show others who have an interest in origami but are afraid to try it that folding models is an accessible and exciting hobby for anybody. Over the past few weeks, James practiced folding various works largely from Jun Maekawa’s Genuine Origami, grouping these models into three primary themes (ocean-based, land-based, and crane variations) along the way.
