Exhibits by Ilana Wahba

 About

Ilana is a student majoring in economics. She began making origami twelve years ago and experimented with many different single papers, balls, and three-dimensional objects. Her favorite origami piece is the curling Kusudama, which has a special meaning: using wood and fragrant medicines, it is said to fend off evil and promote good health.

But the Kusudama changed over time to become much more. It evolved into an ornament that adorned the homes of ordinary people, adding beauty and delight to their existence. It also turned into one of the kids’ most treasured toys, capturing their imaginations and offering happy times. Her exhibition consists of Curling Kusudama and Bascetta stars. Her exhibition aims to allow Kusudama to transport you to a world where art, tradition, and the joy of play converge.
