Elijah Perkins, Class of 2025
Origami Experience: I’ve folded origami for around 5 years now inconsistently. Unfortunately since coming to college, my output has decreased, but I hope that over the summer I can find some time to fold again. I’ve loved every second of my experience, and the people and community I have met have been beyond wonderful. I fold because I find beauty in folding. I think origami is one of the only art forms that has beauty in recreation – it is an art form meant to be taught and recorded. Even though I occasionally design myself, all of my models showcased are from other designers whose works I have decided to interpret. I don’t know where origami will take me, if anywhere, but I hope it is someplace nice.
