Exhibits by Rainy Day

About

Ronik is an amateur origamist who has spent the past three years building a community at UChicago around origami. He certainly didn’t do it alone, and he hopes more people can enjoy this art form together. He likes telling stories with his art, and for this exhibit, he was inspired by Murakami’s Kafka on the Shore to fold a hat, an umbrella, and a fish.

Sophie has not done much origami besides giving little creations to friends as gifts, but her experience and appreciation for the art have increased significantly this past year thanks to UChicagOrigami. The community in this club is amazing, and she hopes more people can stop by during weekly meetings sometime to see this as well. Those who do so can consider their rainy-day blues gone. 😉
