The Developing Access to Research in Neuroscience (DARN) program is supported by a National Science Foundation CAREER grant, and is aimed at exposing undergraduates from all backgrounds to neuroscience research. In partnership with the University of Puerto Rico, DARN is committed to facilitating access to research and career opportunities to all communities.
DARN Program Goals
DARN is designed to facilitate participation of undergraduates to take part in wide-ranging areas of neurobiological research. With robust exposure to areas in neuroscience and interactions with other fellows and University of Chicago graduate students, participants will develop and apply practical lab experience, network, strengthen their confidence in STEM fields, and bolster their competitiveness when applying to graduate school, MD/Ph.D programs, and beyond.
