James Nemiroff on Crypto-Judaism in Lope de Vega

Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to invite you all to the first meeting of the Western Mediterranean Culture Workshop for the academic year.  Our first meeting will take place THIS FRIDAY at noon in Wieboldt 207.  The information regarding the talk is below:
James Nemiroff, Ph.D student in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Chicago will present and discuss a paper entitled “Esther as Crypto-Jew: Hermeneutics in reverse in Lope de Vega’s La hermosa Ester (1610).”
