On April 14, 2019, Women in Chemistry attended the second annual Elevate UChicago conference. There, we connected with female leaders from across Illinois and students from across University of Chicago divisions. The event featured keynote speakers Lisa Madigan and Donna Miller, and included a “Women in Underrepresented Fields” panel featuring Laura Washington, Rebecca Willett, and Griselda Vega Samuel. We wrapped up the day with breakout workshops focusing on development of leadership, networking, and promotional skills.
