WiC hosted their second annual First-Year Mentoring Program with a dinner welcoming the newest class of chemistry women to the department. Mentors and mentees met over a delicious meal at Pizza Capri in our very own Hyde Park.
The WiC First-Year Mentoring Program provides support for the first-year graduate women in the UChicago Chemistry Department by pairing them with an older graduate mentor from WiC. Our goal is to help integrate students into the department and university communities, while also alleviating some of the stress of starting graduate school.
