About the Dictionary

This blogĀ provides twenty-six entries, each corresponding to a letter of the alphabet, seeking to chronicle and highlight major architectural topics in the twentieth-century. The entries vary in subject, scope, and length, and may cover such topicsĀ as significant buildings, movements, architects, and materials. The breadth of the entries reflects the diversity and varied nature of modern architecture, and through each letter of the alphabet, we attempt to provide the reader with relevant factual and analytical detail to gain an overview of western architecture in the twentieth-century.

We hope you enjoy reading our dictionary, and hope you learn in the process.
