I am a Soft Matter scientist enthusiastic about exploring microscopic underpinnings of bulk behavior of amorphous disordered materials. Currently, I am a postdoctoral scholar at UChicago working jointly between groups of Heinrich Jaeger at James Franck Institute and Juan de Pablo at Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering.

I was previously:
2015-2018: Research Associate with Jeffrey Morris and Morton Denn at the Levich Institute, City College of New York
2009-2014: Graduate student (engineering) with Stefan Luding at the Multi Scale Mechanics, University of Twente

  1. 2021 – I won the Maria Lastra Excellence in Mentoring award Honorable mentions awarded by the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering.
  2. 2021 – Our paper about stress-activated friction and comparing simulation with experiments is submitted to arXiv.
  3. 2021 – Artwork featured on the cover of Soft Matter.
  4. 2020 – Our paper “A constitutive model for simple shear of dense frictional suspensions”, with Romain Mari, Morton Denn, and Jeffrey Morris has been awarded the 2020 Journal of Rheology Publication Award!
  5. 2020 – I presented my work on shear thickening in the JNNFM Seminar Series, thanks to Rob Poole & Ian Frigaard for the invite.
  6. 2020 – I won Best Presentation by a Young Scientist at the virtual Physics of Dense Suspension symposium!
  7. 2020 – Our PRL on rolling friction was featured at MERSEC Highlights!
  8. 2014  – I defended my Ph.D.
  9. 2014 – Talking about my Ph.D. research.
