Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors : Trichotillomania + Dermatillomania

“A Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study of Memantine in Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors”

An 8 week research study to test the safety and efficacy of memantine for trichotillomania (TTM; hair pulling disorder) and skin picking disorder (SPD). 

 “Natural Recovery in BFRBs”

Overarching goal to characterize the clinical phenotypes of Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs) that are associated with natural recovery from their disorders.

 

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

“A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial of Adjunctive Troriluzole in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder” 
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the efficacy, long term safety, and tolerability of troriluzole as adjunctive therapy in subjects with OCD who have had an inadequate response to SSRI, clomipramine, venlafaxine or desvenlafaxine treatment.

“An Open-Label Trial of Epidiolex in the Treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder”

 The primary objective of this 3-visit, open-label study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Epidiolex (cannabidiol) in adults with OCD. 

 

Mood Disorders

A Randomized, Double-blind, Multicenter, Placebo-controlled Study to Evaluate the Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of Esketamine Nasal Spray, Administered as Monotherapy, in Adult Participants with Treatment-resistant Depression”

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of esketamine nasal spray, administered as monotherapy in adults with major depressive disorder (MDD).

 

Impulse Control Disorders

“Silymarin Treatment of Pathological Gambling: A Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study”
An 8 week experimental study using a natural supplement for gambling.

“Role of Dopamine in Impulsivity and Compulsivity” (Recruitment paused temporarily)
A 2 visit MRI study for people with OCD, impulsivity, and healthy controls.

Personality Disorders

A double blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, adaptive 14-week Phase IIb trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of vafidemstat in an adult borderline personality disorder ” (Not yet recruiting)

A research study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of vafidemstat in adults with borderline personality disorder (BPD).
