Application Requirements
The deadline to submit admissions applications and necessary accompanying documents for Fall 2026 admission is January 26, 2026. The program will begin accepting applications for Fall 2026 admission in early Fall 2025. Applicants must use the online application. The following materials are required:
- A copy of your transcript from each undergraduate or graduate institution you have attended.
- At least three letters of recommendation.
- Proof of English Proficiency (see https://grad.uchicago.edu/admissions/apply/english-language-requirements/ for detailed information).
- Candidate statement.
- Resume or CV.
- $90 application fee.
Please note that for the Fall 2026 admissions cycle, submission of GRE test scores is recommended but not required.
Students admitted to the MCAM program will be required to pay a $500 non-refundable enrollment deposit to accept their place in the program. The deposit will be applied toward the first quarter of tuition.
