Welcome to UChicago Chemistry Lunch and Learn!

Lunch and learn sessions provide a crash course in various experimental tools, research knowledge/skills, theoretical methods, and broader scientific themes. The aim is to help students gain as much as possible from first year coursework, empower students switching areas of chemistry or delving into interdisciplinary research, and help students build a broad foundation in the practical skills critical for excellence in graduate school. Each session will include a lecture followed by a practical problem-solving session. The problem solving sessions will be facilitated by upper level graduate students and post docs, giving you a chance to think outside of the box with your new colleagues. Upper level graduate students and post docs are also welcome to join – it’s never too late to learn something new! Please see a full description of the content of each session here.
