Requesting Alternative Formats of Course Materials

Natural Reader Text-to-Speech Program

Natural Reader converts text files into synthesized speech, allowing users to listen to documents, web pages, emails, and more. Students can request a Natural Reader license by emailing text.sds@uchicago.edu. For more information on Natural Reader, please visit the Natural Reader Help Center.

Sensus Access

Sensus Access is an automated document conversion service that is available to the University community. You can use Sensus Access to convert inaccessible documents into editable files, MP3 audio files, PDFs, and other formats that can be read aloud with text-to-speech software like Natural Reader.
