Welcome to the Honesty, Opportunity, Prosociality, & Ethics (HOPE) LAB!
We are a group of researchers who study ethical decision-making, broadly defined. Our work focuses primarily on how people balance fundamental values such as honesty, opportunity, prosociality and navigate ethical dilemmas involving these values. Our research delves deeper by examining how ethical judgments define social interactions by shaping our language, influencing group affiliation, and informing our beliefs.
