Hi. I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Chicago. My interests center on both internal and external motivations for language variation and change through the lens of sign languages and homesign.

My current work focuses on on spatial agreement systems across sign languages and sociohistorical contexts. I focus on emergence in Nicaraguan Sign Language (NSL), contact-induced change in la Lengua de SeƱas Costarricense (LESCO), and synchronic variation in a historically stable system in American Sign Language (ASL),
