Hi. I am a fourth year PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Chicago. Broadly construed, my interests center on both internal and external motivations for language variation and change through the lens of sign languages and homesign.

Some projects I am currently working on include a study on the development of a spatial agreement system in el Idioma de Señas Nicaragüense (ISN), an investigation on discourse motivated code-mixing in American Sign Language (ASL), and work on contact-induced change in la Lengua de Señas Costarricense (LESCO).
