About The Medical Journalism Club

Exploring Medicine through Research, Dialogue, and Experimentation

Providing an Accessible, Diverse Body of Medical Knowledge to Readers of All Ages

Raising Awareness about Health Inequities

Established in 2020, the Medical Journalism Club is a student-run group at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. Composed of a journal publication and explorative dialogue about public health and medicine, authors use peer-reviewed research and media sources to pursue their interests and teach the community about their findings. From broad concepts like public health policy to specific medical conditions, authors maintain a constructive lens through which they view medicine and its impact on health and wellbeing. Pairing journalistic writing, the Medical Journalism Club seeks to foster a comprehensive understanding of medicine and how it relates to peoples’ lives from an atomic to a global scale.
