Hi Everyone!

Another quarter has passed and it is time to give you – our instructors — updates on major activities and developments in the Professional Development Programs. As we are strengthening our position as a prime destination for continuing education, connecting PDP partners and networking with new ones is a recurring theme and a high priority for us. To that regard, the 4th edition of our newsletter is a true reflection of our efforts to broaden our community and create professional opportunities for our students and alumni.

From building new partnerships to developing career and academic advising services, offering summer courses and celebrating our grads, we are continuing our efforts to connect with and better serve our students and to grow our community.. Getting to know our instructors and engaging them in this process is instrumental to building partnerships. These past few months, I have had the chance to meet with many PDP instructors through classroom visits and thanks to everyone’s warm welcome and gracious participation, I have pictures and stories to share. As a result, I hope you’ll enjoy reading about Mikhail Kovalenko, one of our Financial Decision-Making students whom I met while conducting an observation, and later, interview through Skype. Find out why.

Lastly, in our faculty interview feature, we’ll be exploring clinical trials. Rich Wilson, our interviewee, has one of the most intriguing and versatile resumes I’ve encountered. From MD to patented inventor, co-founder of medical product companies, author and instructor, it seems that time limitations don’t apply to him as they do to most of us. Rich has been teaching his course on Project Management and Leadership in the Healthcare industry at Graham for almost 20 years. I have come to know Rich through our regular communication and had the chance to experience his limitless generosity. Rich always has time to support our programs, acknowledge the work of others, and engage in a convivial conversation. I hope you’ll enjoy reading about his impressive body of work and his experience with teamwork. Finally, in this issue, you’ll get a chance to learn 10 facts about Gail Rodman, the Graham School’s HR Director.
Very Best and Happy Spring!
