A resolution that I’m going to try to keep this year is to write more1 .
This blog represents one part of that – I’ll try to write about the day to day (or more likely, the week to week) at the University and in the neighborhoods throughout the mid south side.
My point of view on all this is certainly limited, but all things considered, is probably highly unusual.
Who’s to say if unusual is interesting? We’ll see if anyone reads these posts, or if this is an exercise in reflection.
- To be fair, I actually write quite a bit, but it’s mostly genre-writing, that is, if one considers university emails to be a genre. ↩
