David Paltiel, Professor at the Yale School of Medicine and Yale School of Management. His talk, Economic Evaluation of  Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV Infection will focus on the recent papers, “HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis in the United States: Impact on Lifetime Infection Risk, Clinical Outcomes, and Cost-Effectiveness” and “The Cost-Effectiveness of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV Infection in South African Women.”

Today is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. America has made incredible progress in the 31 years since AIDS was first diagnosed. Mother-to-child transmission of HIV has been virtually eliminated and antiretroviral medications have saved thousands of lives.
