The Slavery and Visual Culture Working Group, with the support of the Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Students Committee, is hosting an open conversation on January 10th with professor Kathryn Joy McKnight, about publishing and teaching archives of people of African descent in the Americas.
McKnight is an associate professor at the University of New Mexico, and co-editor of Afro-Latino Voices: Narratives from the Early Modern Ibero-Atlantic World, 1550-1812 (Hackett, 2009).
The conversation will be on Thursday, January 10th, at Kelly 114, from 4pm-5pm. Light refreshments will be served.
