Prof. Nancy van Deusen will give her lecture “The Challenges of Working with Indigenous Petitions for Freedom.” This event will be held at the Social Science Tea Room (SSRB 201) and will be followed by a reception.

October 25, 2024, 12:00-1:30PM CST: Workshop with Nancy van Deusen

We will workshop Prof. Nancy van Deusen‘s paper, “Rescate (Exchange/Redemption) of Indigenous Captives: An Absent Presence in Spanish American Colonial Archives.” Lunch will be provided.
