Music and Sound will be hosting a Conference Proposal Workshop on January 22, 2025 from 4:30-6pm in Logan 801 to help our department prepare for the fast-approaching conference proposal season.

Are you hoping to submit your abstracts comfortably before those 11:59pm deadlines this year? Bring your AMS/SMT/SEM abstracts and any other proposals you have in the works for some productive workshopping with peers and distinguished faculty members (who have read way too many bad abstracts in their lives and have graciously agreed to share their advice.)

This workshop will consist of a short introduction to abstract writing followed by targeted workshopping in groups. And sandwiches. Plenty of sandwiches. You are encouraged to bring a few printed copies of your abstract for ease of editing.
