What has the YouChicago Biospecimen Protocol collected?

Since its creation, YouChicago has enrolled 1,521 patients with bladder (n=115), endometrial (n=181), gastrointestinal (n=194), neuroendocrine and sarcoma (n=152), prostate (n=560), renal (n=274) and thoracic cancers (n=45). Tissue samples are available from bladder (n=37), endometrial (n=73), gastrointestinal (n=91), neuroendocrine and sarcoma (n=104), prostate (n=76), renal (n=183) and thoracic (n=26) cancers. Blood is available (with no matching tissue) from 481 individuals. .

YouChicago also collects fresh leftover surgical tissue to generate organoids and cell lines. The protocol has helped investigators obtain tissue from individuals with colon (n=11), endometrial (n=18), lung (n=3), pancreas (n=9), PNET (n=6), prostate (n=31), renal (n=4), sarcoma (n=4) and liver (n=1) tumors.
