The Inclusion Menu
The Inclusion MENU features 50-minute interactive workshops (we call them think-shops) themed around building understanding, empathy, and interpersonal skills to support effective communication and academic collaboration.
Unlike programming, where you come to us, we bring these initiatives to you in your faculty and staff meetings, lab meetings, or gatherings. Our goal is to make understanding one another easy and fun by bringing our programs directly to where you work.
If you’re interested in hosting a session, contact us at diversityoffice@bsd.uchicago.edu. Session offerings change periodically. Each think-shop provides insight into promising practices and applicable techniques for effective and respectful communication and collaboration while building a foundational understanding of the sociological and psychological phenomena in the workplace.
How It Works:
Step 1: Contact diversityoffice@bsd.uchicago.edu to learn about program offerings.
Step 2: You arrange a room and invite participants from your department or area. We recommend that you use an existing faculty/staff meeting time.
Step 3: We show up at your scheduled meeting and facilitate the conversation around the topic you selected.
