Resources for Faculty

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion offers several opportunities for faculty development. There are two opportunities, in particular, which may be of interest to faculty: The Warner Reynolds Leadership Academy, and the Foundational Leadership Program.

Warner Reynolds Leadership Academy

The Warner Reynolds Leadership Academy offers opportunities for mentorship in order to advance faculty in science and medicine. The Office of Faculty Affairs offers the Foundational Leadership program to BSD Faculty. This program offers opportunities for building essential leadership skills, including giving effective feedback, identifying the needs and expectations of stakeholders, enhancing stakeholder engagement, developing emotional intelligence and managing during change. Each session is facilitated by a faculty leader and an executive staff member in the Biological Sciences Division. Participants must attend 2 full days of training. Click here to learn more.

Becoming a Leader

The Warner-Reynolds Becoming a Leader program provides training to graduate students, postdocs, residents, and fellows in the BSD who are interested in building parity in science and medicine. Trainings include skill-building workshops and networking events. Trainees join the faculty in the Warner Reynolds Leadership Academy at the end of the semester.
