This week, we bid farewell to our visiting research scholar, Dr. Satoshi Hara. Since joining us last year, he has been instrumental in elucidating methods for automatic computational segmentation of renal features, and contributing highly specialized knowledge and advisory on the immune pathophysiology of kidney diseases. He will now be returning home to Kanazawa, Japan, where he will return to his post as Assistant Professor at Kanazawa University and continue his research. To celebrate his accomplishments and wish him well on the next chapter of his journey, we threw a farewell party for Satoshi and his family with barbecue by Promontory Point. We will miss him dearly, and we thank him for his hard work!
