Delight Your Sweetie with Special Valentine’s Day Menu at Virtue Restaurant

Get a jump on your Valentine’s Day planning – this year Valentine’s Day is on a Friday, so last-minute lovebirds will be dealing with weekend crowds as well as couples out celebrating the holiday, while trying to score a romantic table for two.

 

If you’re looking for local restaurant options for Valentine’s Day reservations, Hyde Park’s award-winning Virtue Restaurant is offering a special four-course prix-fixe menu on Friday, February 14.

 

First course options include a Jonah crab cake with red peas, bacon, and African harissa, or a crawfish and shrimp gumbo with Carolina Gold rice. For your second course, choose the crispy duck thighs with herbed dumplings, mustard greens, and turnips, or the seared scallops with smothered cabbage, oyster sauce, and pink peppercorns. Third course options include blackened salmon with French beans, fennel, and lobster sauce, or the filet mignon with roasted marble potatoes and Vidalia onion puree. And for dessert, somehow you’ll have to force yourself to choose between the key lime torte or a milk chocolate éclair.

 

This special meal is $74/person with optional $40 wine pairings. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available for each course. Located at 1462 E. 53rd Street, Virtue offers a complimentary coat check, and valet parking is available at Hyatt Place, just across the street.
