Hyde Park’s Mesler Kitchen | Bar | Lounge is hosting the “SHEro: Women Making History Series,” beginning Wednesday, March 6 from 4-6 p.m. The event will take place in Mesler’s Indoor Lounge, located at 1401 E. 53rd Street.
The first event will feature the owner of Recycled Modern, Shari Currie; along with Val Warner from ABC7 and Chanel Tyler, an influencer — for a mix-and-mingle event celebrating amazing women in business making a positive impact in the community.
Recycled Modern is located at 5231 S. Harper Court, featuring “vintage and handcrafted home décor, art, and lifestyle goods with a focus on Black creatives to bridge the gap between the established and emerging” voices. The store was recently recognized by the Chicago Bulls and BMO Harris as a noteworthy Chicago Black-owned business for February 2024.
Cocktails will be provided by Remy Martin and DJ Dhe-Di Beats will be spinning tunes. The event is free, and reservations are not required.
The SHEro Series is planned for every Wednesday in March, including March 6, March 13, March 20, and March 27, with more details on special guests shared each week on Mesler’s social media.
