Trader Joe’s has scheduled its Hyde Park grand opening for the morning of Friday, October 18. After a brief ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:55 a.m., the store will officially open at 9 a.m. and festivities will continue into the afternoon, with live music, food tastings, activities for kids, giveaways, and more. Additional activities are planned for Saturday, as well.
Hyde Park Store Captain Ali Bennouna and Trader Joe’s Crew Members will be ready to welcome customers to their neighborhood Trader Joe’s store – the first on Chicago’s South Side.
The 11,000-square foot store features murals depicting local landmarks such as the Museum of Science and Industry, Promontory Point, and the Garden of the Phoenix at Jackson Park. Located at 1528 E. 55th Street in the Hyde Park Shopping Center, the store will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
