Projects From The Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago

Shopcraft: Methods and Materials

This is some work made in the Logan Center shop as part of the DoVA course Shopcraft: Methods and Materials. Students learned about the basics of wood, hand tools, shop equipment, and basic joinery techniques. Then they were asked to design and build two different projects using these skills.

Many of these projects were made using lumber harvested from trees felled on campus at the University of Chicago.
