The Peace House

Fire Escape Films presents “The Peace House,” directed by Alanna DePinto. This documentary short is a portrait of Peace House, a community center and nonprofit organization in the heart of Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood. Anna’s MFA thesis work

Anna Showers-Cruser fabricated the steel armatures for her work in the 2016 MFA thesis exhibition And No One Fish In The Middle in the Logan metal shop! Come see this work in the Logan Center Exhibitions Gallery and in the Gidwitz lobby until June 12!

Run For Cover- Gold

Uchicago A Cappella group Run For Cover recently recorded a cover of Gold, a song by Adventure Club, at the Logan Center. This track was awarded a perfect score of 5.0 by the Recorded A Cappella Review Board, and won catgory runner-up in the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards, 2016.

Ari’s Book Wheel

Ari Feldman’s book wheel creation was based on Agostino Ramelli’s designs, published in 1588. This construction uses a system of gears to rotate several books in front of a stationary reader. Quite a way to get your reading done!
