Friday, November 20th—Gabriel Kitofi Tonelo, ”Collective matters in the contemporary American personal documentary: meditations on racism, whiteness and masculinities”

We invite you to join us next Friday, November 20th @ 11:00am – 12:30pm over Zoom for our final Mass Culture Workshop of the Fall quarter.

We’re delighted to have Gabriel Kitofi Tonelo (Post-Doc in the Department of Cinema, Radio and Television at the University of São Paulo and current Visiting Scholar in Cinema and Media Studies here at the University of Chicago) presenting a paper-in-progress entitled “Collective matters in the contemporary American personal documentary: meditations on racism, whiteness and masculinities.”

Dominique Bluher (Lecturer in the departments of Cinema and Media Studies, Romance Languages and Literature, and Visual Arts, UChicago) will act as respondent.
