Friday, February 3rd–Technology and Politics Reading Group

Please join us in Cobb 311 this Friday, February 3rd, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm for our second Mass Culture meeting of the winter quarter.

We are excited to have Andy Oranday(CMS Ph.D. Student) lead us in a reading group on politics and technology in media studies.  We will read Langdon Winner’s essay “Do Artifacts have Politics” and Jean-Louis Baudry’s “Ideological Effects of the Basic Cinematographic Apparatus.”
