Dear all,

We cordially invite you to attend this quarter’s Music History/Theory Workshop! This fall’s workshop features a variety of materials, from AMS presentations (Trent Leipert and Claudio Vellutini) to dissertation-proposal work (Dan Wang) to in-progress dissertation chapters: Peter Shultz returns from Minnesota to discuss his work on video-game music, and we welcome new music-theory lecturer Drew Nobile to share his work on function in rock music.

We welcome anyone to attend—if you are not currently on the musichistorytheoryworkshop listserv and would like to be added, please write to mhtwcoordinators@lists.uchicago.edu, and we’ll put you on the e-mail list.

Sessions will all meet on Wednesdays in Logan Center for the Arts, Terrace Seminar Room 801, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Pre-circulated readings will be posted to the Workshop website with a password to be sent via e-mail prior to each workshop session.
