UChicago Science Olympiad is dedicated to enriching and supporting the members of our community in every way possible. In times of political and personal unrest, many Chicago neighborhoods have been severely impacted by disturbing cases of racism not just in recent weeks, but for many years. Recent events have drawn attention to the injustices Black people have had to face for decades, the fragility of our equilibriums, and the necessity for change that is long overdue.

To support our community and the Black Lives Matter movement, UChicago Science Olympiad is donating $1000 to the Emergency Fund for students in need. Additionally, we encourage you to support your local communities, and specifically recognize the impact this has made on the Chicago community a lot of us call home.
