Shelly L. Robinson
Director of Career Services
Shelly L. Robinson is the director of career services and senior program development officer for the MAPSS, Committee on International Relations and Computational Social Science programs. She helps students with all areas of career development, including one-on-one advising, resume and cover letter preparation, interviewing, networking, and job search assistance. She has nearly 15 years in career development and higher education administration with past experience in human resources, recruitment, and operations management. She holds a PhD in Communication with interests in careers, multiculturalism, pedagogy and organizations from Purdue University. Take a moment to stop by her office to get acquainted.

Career Preparation and Programming Manager
Gözde provides one-on-one career advising and document review for students in the MAPSS, Committee on International Relations and Computational Social Science programs. She also works on career-related event planning and preparation of job search resources. She is a native of Istanbul, Turkey, and has been an international student in the US starting with college. She is currently a PhD candidate in Political Science at Northwestern University. She holds a BA in Government and English from Connecticut College, and an MA in Political Science from Northwestern University.

Employer Relations Manager
DeNeatria Robinson is the Employer Relations Manager for MAPSS, CIR, and Computational Social Science. Her primary goal is to develop relationships with corporate and community organizations actively looking to hire UChicago graduate students and alumni in the social sciences. As the ERM, she leans on her 6+ years of experience in career services and industry to craft employer events designed to increase recruiting and branding opportunities for local and international employers. Earning a BA in Communications from Purdue University and M.Ed in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago, she focuses on creating intentional employment opportunities alongside UChicago faculty and staff partners.
