How Social Science Research Happens Outside Academia: A MAPSS Alumni Panel | A common question alums get from MAPSS students is what social research actually looks like once they are hired into a research role outside of academia. What are the gaps they need to fill before being a competitive candidate, and how can they position the skills they already have built through their training at MAPSS? In this session, MAPSS alums working in social research professions across industries and roles share experiences that outline the role research plays in their organization, including the nuts and bolts of how it all comes together. Following these shares, there is a short panel discussion and opportunity for Q&A.  (Unfortunately, the first five minutes of this event was not recorded. Apologies for the inconvenience.) Recording
