Meeting, Engaging, and Understanding

Meeting, Engaging, and Understanding

Since the Fall of 2017, over 15 departments, sections, and lab groups have taken part in our diversity programming series geared toward faculty, The Inclusion M.E.N.U (Meeting, ENgaging, and Understanding). We are pleased to offer two new programs from this menu, designed to be open to all members of the BSD community.

Beyond the Safe Space - This session is the 2.0 version of our Creating LGBTQ Safe Spaces presentation launched last summer. Here we focus on language, social justice tenets, and emerging research about LGBTQ inclusion and the self. *Thank you to all those who participated.*

Implicit Bias | The Fundamentals - This session focuses on research that gets at the heart of bias while giving us the tools to lessen our unconscious assumptions about social groups. *Lunch Provided

Persons with disabilities who need an accommodation to participate in this program should contact BSD's Diversity & Inclusion Office at 773-702-2912 or diversityoffice@bsd.uchicago.edu

Sessions are at full capacity. Please keep a look out for additional programs in the coming weeks.
