Alex Strauss

Lab Manager & Research Assistant

Alex received her B.A. in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder where she investigated peripheral morphological outcomes in a murine model of central reproductive pathology. Thereafter, she spent time as a researcher investigating nutrition and hydration as related to performance in elite endurance athletes at Skratch Labs, LLC. Alex received her master’s from the University of Cambridge where she investigated peripheral innate immunophenotypes as related to cognition and survival across the spectrum of neurodegenerative dementia. Her current and future research interests relate to the entrenchment of psychological and cognitive phenotypes as related to natural, built, and social environments. She hopes to investigate these cognitive landscapes through an integrative approach and pursue understanding at the intersection of (neuro)physiology and environmental, cognitive, and exercise science.
