Meet our team! As current students at University of Chicago, we’ve experienced the college application process and are now excited to share our knowledge.
Sabian Murry, Co-President
Sabian is a second-year majoring in Political Science with a minor in Education & Society and Gender & Sexuality Studies. She’s from Bryant, AR, where her passion for the college application process grew. She wanted students in more rural areas such as Arkansas to be exposed to more programs, opportunities, and information to give them the edge in the application process. She likes to read, explore Chicago, and mentor students on how to become a competitive applicant!
Marty Cowherd, Co-President
Marty is a 3nd year majoring in Public Policy with a minor in Human Rights. He grew up on the South Side of Chicago and hopes to pursue a law degree after undergrad because he believes the legal profession desperately needs more African American attorneys to represent individuals who are unable to do so themselves. As a part of BTC, he hopes to bridge the gap between minority students and higher-ed institutions. This all starts with providing access and exposure to students from communities like where he grew up to the resources & scholarships that are available for first-gen, low-income students to graduate college debt free.
Nathalie Lelogeais, Vice President of Social Media
Nathalie is a second-year majoring in Business Economics and Psychology from San Juan, PR. She enjoys traveling, exploring Chicago’s food scene and spending time with friends. She is eager to support BTC’s mission of making the college application process more accessible through her creativity skills to market BTC and spread awareness about potential resources students can use.
Dominique LoBlack, Director
Dominique is a second-year majoring in Media Arts and Design from Loganville, GA. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and spending time with friends. She’s passionate about making the college application process more accessible for high school students and encouraging students to seek financial assistance.
