Shannon Smith

About: Shannon assists the Committee on Education with grant and budget management, administrative and business operations and as a general resource to students, faculty and staff. Shannon also is the direct assistant to Professor Raudenbush.
Shannon has a passion for helping others with their goals, which led her to earn her M.S. in Academic Advising in 2020 from Kansas State University. Before, Shannon completed her B.A. in Community Psychology with a minor in Education and Society from the University of Washington – Bothell Campus.
Shannon enjoys reading, cooking, playing video games and spending time with her kitten, Elias.
Megan Swartz
Student Affairs Administrator, Committee on Education, Committee on Social Thought
About: Megan is the student affairs administrator for the Committee on Social Thought and the Committee on Education. She supports the Education and Society minor and MA Certificate programs and assists with matters of registration, course scheduling and general student and faculty support. Prior to this role, she worked at Georgetown University as the Associate Director for Academic Affairs in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Megan attended Kansas State University and holds a BA in English Literature.
Her favorite activities include chasing her four children, writing, and renovating her 100-year old home.
